Aim

The event acquaints delegates with fundamental public speaking techniques. Attendees are advised on the strengths and weaknesses of their current presentation style.

 

Target Audience

Everybody who has to address large groups

 

Outcomes

By the end of the event participants will:

  • Learn how to sight-read so that they can always make eye contact with their audience.
  • Make adrenalin work positively;
  • Know how to perform a full vocal warm up.
  • Be made aware of their bodies and adopting appropriate gestures to further emphasise their meaning.
  • Know how to stress words effectively so that their audience derives greater meaning from them.

Methods

Delegates learn various classical / method acting techniques. They will then undertake exercises in order to put their newly acquired skills into practice.
